When I saw this I was a little shocked. I remember when we all did our "hands for diabetes" years ago. We chose a word that described how we felt about our diabetes. It was incredibly unifying. I guess, from the article, that there have been discussions of passing it on for years now. I was not aware. Ultimately, like most not for profits go, it was funding that was the great demise.

Beyond Type 1 is going to be taking over Diabetes Hands and it's Spanish counter parts. They say that they want to promote a stronger together diabetic forum, meaning all types can do more if they work together. That is music to my ears. The video by the founder is heart touching.
